Outcomes
Our team’s top achievement from the Girls Build Los Angeles project was to teach a group of 25 young girls from Animo Florence-Firestone Middle School to learn about self-love, acceptance, and confidence. In addition to that, we hope to reach out to the girls of our high school by creating a photo exhibit.
Short-Term Outcome
In the span of a 4 week lesson plan, we were able to give these young girls methods to be able to apply to their everyday life to accept their quirks, physical appearance, different friendships, and how to deal with their negative thoughts.
Long-Term Outcome
We hope the long-term outcome is that the girls will continue to use the information we provided to help deal with the issues that many teens face growing up.
